If you know me well enough, you will know that I would rather do anything than to sell my soul, posting about products that I don’t even like. This post contains affiliate links which I am so excited to recommend to you (and make just a little money from) and would hope that you have the opportunity to recommend products you love, you would do the same.
Hello, I’m Kimberly. Event Curator + Social Media Content Consultant. Living life JOYfully. JOY is my middle name. (Really it is!)
My mission is to help women create the life they have imagined. How did I get here? Let me start from the beginning. I am a child of the 80’s, born June 2, 1982….okay maybe that’s a little to far back for our first introduction!
My background is in Business + Event Planning + I’ve been working in this industry since 2003. I’ve been through hundreds of weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, marketing events, corporate launch parties, galas, non-profit charity events and everything in between. I’ve always loved how no two events are ever the same and the unique details of every project allow me to use my creativity, problem solve and help people celebrate life in many different ways.
A little bit about me. After travelling abroad through Asia, teaching English and trying to decide what my next steps in life might be, I arrived back in Canada with the idea that Event Planning was the direction I needed to go. Shortly after getting into the event planning industry, I married my husband in 2005 after a whirlwind romance, meeting online (almost before it was really cool or okay to do so) and our life together has been full of adventure ever since. He’s the calm to my chaos energy, the patience to my wild ideas creativity and while our journey has been anything but easy (more on balancing marriage with life and business at a later date!), I know he loves me and our two beautiful daughters , Cassidy 11 and Lucia, 8 more than anything.
In 2012, amidst the hustle & bustle of the event planning life, I received the heart breaking news that our oldest daughter, Cassidy was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. The world stopped..I’m convinced it actually stopped spinning…and I knew that life would never be the same again. The years following her diagnosis have been like nothing I could have ever imagined. (You can follow our journey of hope and Cystic Fibrosis on Instagram, Facebook and cassidyslemonadestand.com )
Because of this, Celebrating Simple Life exists. My mission is to help others have the confidence, energy and excitement to show up in the world exactly as they are, with authenticity and purpose. To host events, entertain friends and live each day to its fullest. Life is short and everyday has many reasons to Celebrate! It can be overwhelming to think about hosting a party or event and I’m here to help you every step of the way.
Here are a few of my favorite things to get to know me better:
Whether you need to book a time to chat in order to process the ideas your dreaming about for your next event, or you need some creative inspiration, join me in finding ways to celebrate the everyday, throw parties just because, entertain, laugh, cry, jump for joy, make memories and live out the legacy you wish to leave.
Let me know you popped by, by leaving a comment below! We’re in this together, my friend.
Cheers to Celebrating today!
