4 WAYS TO FIND MORE TIME RIGHT NOW
I'm going to assume that you're a little curious about how you can find more time in your already very full life! Love that for us both because I'm very passionate about learning every trick I can to get the most out of the time I have.
We’re constantly bombarded with demands on our time and attention. Between work, family, and personal commitments, it can feel almost impossible to add personal and professional goals into the mix. How on earth do we find the extra time to pursue a goal? And when we do find the time, how can we be more productive at work in the allotted time we have?
If you truly want to find more time….keep scrolling!
1. TIME OF DAY - Find the best time of day for YOU to work. If you’re a morning person like me, tackle your most important tasks in the early hours. If you’re more of a night owl, save your critical work for later in the day. Spend time doing the things that need your best during this time because you’ll be more efficient!
2. WHAT’S THE GOAL? - Productivity is not about doing MORE. It’s about doing the RIGHT things for the goal you are trying to reach. Define what you want to achieve, both in the short term and the long term. Having a clear sense of purpose will guide your actions and keep you on track.
3. MAKE A PLAN - Now that you have a clear goal in mind, it’s time to create a plan. To be more productive at work you have to implement strategy. If you don’t have a plan, you’re way less likely to actually achieve the thing you want to achieve. Work backwards from where you want to be, to where you are and write out specific step by step on how to get there.
4. REMOVE DISTRACTIONS - If you’re like me, your phone might be your biggest distraction! Or perhaps it’s a noisy workspace, chatty coworkers, or perhaps you work from home and the laundry is calling your name. Once you’ve determined what distracts you, take action to remove them. Creating a distraction-free workspace can significantly enhance your productivity. When you eliminate interruptions, you can immerse yourself in your work and complete tasks more efficiently. Start by setting a timer and working for 30 minutes straight without looking at your phone. You will be shocked at how much you can get done!
I hope that you will try at least one of these ideas this week to see if you can find more time to keep working towards those big, beautiful goals and dreams that are brewing inside of you!
