If you know me well enough, you will know that I would rather do anything than to sell my soul, posting about products that I don’t even like. I don’t know about you but each morning as I open my eyes and get ready to start my day, my house is still quiet, I haven’t yet checked my phone or email and I find it easy to think happy thoughts and imagine the possibilities of the day.
Than I get out of bed, make coffee, wake the kids, make lunches, sign agendas, motivate the kids, encourage the kids, remember things I’ve forgotten, sign tests, say goodbye as passing ships to my husband, fit in a shower and throw on an outfit and some semblance of a face…..slowly (or very quickly) the possibilities of the day have now turned to mad panic. I’m learning (much slower than I care too) how to find small ways throughout the day to celebrate even when life feels full. (Which by the way, it always will, so it’s all about adapting!)
12 Ways to Celebrate Today…
Write a note to a friend telling them how much you appreciate them.
“Hey Bestie! Thank you for being you. I’m so glad you’re my ‘person’.”
Take one action towards a goal.
“I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish. Today I signed up for the class.”
Write down 5 things you are grateful for today. (Click here for my recent post on Gratitude!)
Coffee. Kids caught the bus on time. Fresh air during my walk. Friends who are family. Laughter at the dinner table
Do something fun that you haven’t done in a while.
Jumping on the Trampoline anyone?
Find a new song or pick a favorite and sing at the top of your lungs.

Look through photos from the past or a recent trip and remember the fun.
Remember when Mom wiped out at the bowling alley?
Indulge in your favorite beverage and just sip it and take five minutes to enjoy.

Have a Friendship Celebration
Call up a friend or two (or more!) and celebrate each other and your friendship. Meet up at your house for a potluck or go to a restaurant that will make the night special. Toast to the importance of close, wonderful friendships.
Practice self love by giving yourself a shout out on social media
Your social media circle will love that you are feeling confident & happy, and you just might inspire them to see something amazing about themselves today as well.
Take 5 minutes to breathe deeply.
Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. Feel yourself relaxing.
Pick your favorite treat to make + enjoy.
Pour a glass of wine and enjoy the steps of cooking and creating. Try these best ever healthy + fudgy Zucchini Brownies.
Do something silly.
