Suga Suga….How you get so fly?! My sweet tooth has a mind of its own and it led me to the opportunity to visit the best candy store in Saskatoon with my daughters. Join us in our special visit to The Shoppe downtown Saskatoon and get inspired to stop by and enjoy all the sweetness for yourself.

From the moment you step into The Shoppe, your senses are all pulling you in different directions because there is so much to see, taste, smell and experience. The beautiful scent of sweetness greets you with many different, delicious options to choose from and the whimsical and charming design by local designers, Miranda & Jo from Alt Haus will blow you away! Remember the 13 Instagrammable Wall Murals in YXE that I toured this summer?! Well, a few of them were also designed by Alt Haus.

Because I actually couldn’t contain myself with how cute all of these little jars of candy looked (Remember the 4 Step Method to Choosing Your Core Values and Choosing A Life of Joy?! post a while back…..Well, this place was PURE Joy!) and the fact that I got to put these cute little jars into a bubblegum pink shopping basket….that is where I started. You can build a custom candy box with 6 candy jars in it. How does one decide? I got to pick two, Cassidy picked two and Lucia picked two and then we all got to share our favorites with each other. My personal favorite is a throw back from my childhood. Grape Laces! Do you remember those?! Gaga for grape? You’ll love these long, skinny ropes of juicy grape flavor! Eat one by one or pop a pile in your mouth for a pleasantly purple taste experience. Just another reason why this is the best candy store in Saskatoon.

As if the cute candy jars weren’t enough, there are a few other stations to choose from as you make your way around the best candy store in Saskatoon. They have Handcrafted Gourmet La Sorbeteria popsicles in every color of the rainbow made with natural ingredients. Paletas may look like ordinary popsicles, this dessert packs a much larger punch! They are not only beautiful but absolutely delicious.

Is there ever not a good time for cookie dough?! I didn’t think so! The Old-school chocolate chip cookie dough flavor gets a modern makeover where creamy cookie dough and premium Callebaut dark chocolate makes traditional cookie dough seem square. They have so many unique flavors, it was hard to decide!

We couldn’t leave without trying the Dippin’ Dots. Dippin' Dots are tiny beads of ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and flavored ice. Dippin’ Dots – an unconventional ice cream treat that’s remarkably fresh and flavorful, introducing the world to beaded ice cream that melts in your mouth! And, the coolest detail? They have color changing spoons that change from pink to purple when they are cold. What?! You know how much I love a good surprise!
